Osteoporosis is a silent epidemic specified by low bone density and micro-architectural deterioration.According to International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF), worldwide hip fracture cases increased by 25% between 1990 and 2000. Osteoporosis has incurred severe social and financial implications among the affected population. The direct cost of osteoporosis includes the hospitalization of the fracture patient, while the indirect costs includes employee income loss, affected productivity, heavy country social welfare burden, and hefty health insurance payment. This book will disclose the application of radiography approach in assessing osteoporosis. This book is specially designed for the mass public as it could be easily understood.
