Overschooling In Nigeria: Challenge And The Way Forward

Overschooling has remained a very serious challenge to the Nigerian Educational System which is largely oriented towards academic certification. Efforts has been made to reverse the trend through curriculum reform endeavors by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council, National Board for Technical Education and the National Universities Commission among others. However, these efforts have not succeeded in achieving the proposed intention. This booklet examines the problem of Overschooling and Proposes how best to overcome it through educational reform and other national policies.
