Oversight Role of Parliament on Budget Implementation in Kenya

Parliament is the supreme organ that has three core functions namely representation,legislation and oversight.However parliament has very little effect on oversight which is left in the hands of the executive.However with the emergence of open democracy around the world parliament has found it vital to change and embrace oversight on budget.This is because the citizens of the country are asking for accountable government because they are the taxpayers and therefore they require service delivery.This service delivery can be achieved by accountable executive and the parliament.
