Oxidation of hydrocarbons by hydrogen peroxide

Examination of contemporary publications on the use of hydrogen peroxide in oxidation of hydrocarbons allows to divide these investigations up on three comprehensive chapters: 1) biomimetic oxidation, 2) industry scale oxidation and 3) ecological aspects - the oxidation as a remedy for cleaning contaminated soils and water reservoirs. This work reviews publications of last decade on oxidation of hydrocarbons by hydrogen peroxide within the framework of biomimetic oxidation, environmental aspect and use of carbon nano-dimensional catalysts. Virtually, all significant contemporary articles covered by the Thomson Reuters electronic database have been considered.
