This book entitled "Oxidation: Reagents in Organic Synthesis" is intended as text and reactions for undergraduate and postgraduate students who have opted for the Organic Chemistry. Organic Chemistry is the Chemistry of the compounds of carbon. The organic synthesis is one of the most important branch of chemical science which wide exploited in the designing and synthesis of organic molecules with high biological significance. This book includes oxidation of hydrocarbons like alkanes, alkenes, alkynes using various reagents as well as oxidation of monomeric & dimeric alcohols. aldehydes and ketones, in which general methods of preparations, synthetic applications and mechanism with stereisomers is discussed in details with different sets of examples. The enough numbers of problems with solutions have been included at the end of each reagent.

Dr. Prashant N. Muskawar working as Associate Professor in Department of Chemistry, for undergraduate and Postgraduate students. Obtained PhD Degree in 2015 from VIT University Vellore, Tamilnadu (INDIA). He is author of around 30 research articles in international reputed journals. Currently three students are working for their Doctoral degree.
