Parabolic Trough Collector and its Performance Factors

Utilization of solar energy depends on the energy conversion system and components involved in it. Parabolic Trough Collector (PTC) systems are mostly used to utilize the maximum availability of solar power. The performance of the PTC depends on the operating parameters such as type of receiver, collector material and medium of heat transfer with the consideration of the climatic conditions.
