PARAMETRIC ARCHITECTURE IN THE FACE OF THE PANDEMIC

Today, having gone through a global pandemic, and still suffering from its effects, it is time to look to the future, reflect and take action. The health crisis due to COVID 19 taught us many things, but one of the most important is that we must be prepared for catastrophic eventualities. From an architectural perspective, there is a genre of buildings that had to face the disease most intensely. Hospitals were the focus of the world's attention. The challenge of meeting the needs of the population quickly and efficiently was only partially met. The constant demand of sick people all over the planet made, among other factors, the health system of most of the countries of the world insufficient. It is necessary to know, spread and apply new ways of producing architecture. One of the proposals in this sense, is the parametric design. A design process that allows us to break with old paradigms and use algorithms programs, insert the parameters and objectives you require and obtain various options for solving your problem, with surprising ways and ensuring the desired result.
