Parametric Study on the Design of Water Tanks using Genetic Algorithms

Water tank is a widely used structure, hence any material cost saving is appreciable. In this book, a strategy has been extracted for an oversimplified optimum design for reinforced concrete intze type water tank, using the robust tool, genetic algorithm. The optimum design formulation has been depicted in the format of objective function and the constraints. Some optimum design studies have been executed for investigating the accomplishment of the evolved technique and to acquire drifts in the optimum design that will definitely prove to be obliging for the new designers.
