PARASITIC INFECTIONS OF HUMANS IN ZAMBIA

This book is about parasites that do infect humans in Zambia. It gives the taxonomy of each parasite and how each parasite is transmitted to humans. The book also describes the clinical presentation of each parasitic infection and the methods for diagnosis (Laboratory and non-laboratory). laboratory diagnostic images of each parasite are illustrated in color. Specific treatment (chemotherapy and surgery) for each parasitic infection is explained.

Professor Victor Mwanakasale is a Medical Doctor and Medical Parasitologist. He has been working as a lecturer for the Copperbelt University, Michael Chilufya Sata School of Medicine in Ndola, Zambia, since 2012. He teaches Laboratory science and medical parasitology to undergraduate medical students and postgraduate students in the university.
