Participation of Rural Women in Food Security

Food security' exists when all people, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life. The great producer of food who imparts important role in food security is rural women, provides household food, milk commodities and also imparts its role in agriculture. Women participate a deep-seated role in, yielding, holding, handing out, providing and utilizing food to their families. Main objective of the study is to investigate the role of rural women in food security with reference to livestock and agriculture.
