PIV represents a quantitative extension of the qualitative flow visualization techniques that have been practised for several decades. The state-of-the-art of the technique today is overviewed and illustrated by reference to recent, seminal publications describing both the development and application of PIV. It is the aim of this book to assist researchers by introducing PIV techniques for using in different disciplines of their experimental studies.

Dr. Mohsen Jahanmiri is a faculty member of Shiraz University of Technology. He has 27 years of academic and industry job experience. He holds Bsc. Eng.,M.E.,and PhD degrees in Aerospace Engineering from India. More than 50 scientific reports,international journal,and conference proceedings papers are published by him. He edited 8 books in Persian.
