International Product Patent regulations (TRIPS-2005) brings many structural changes in the Indian pharmaceutical sector, which has the capacity to fulfill most of its domestic demand within the country.But due to the new international product patent regulations the generic manufacturers who are the main driving force of the industry affected largely. The International Product Patents regulations has made many structural adjustment in the Pharmaceutical sector in India is an issue of concern as it's directly relates to the Health System of the country. The aim of this book is to explore these facts and present them with an analytical observation with important themes like Industry structure, Growth, Domestic competition, Labour issues, R&D Investments, Merger and Acquisitions, International Regulations and there inter-relations with each other in the current situation. And also critically analyzing how the pharmaceutical drug manufacturers coping with the situation in India like Product Patents' and what are the threats and opportunities pharmaceutical companies visualizing in the future.
