Dr. Richard F. Spaide, MD has made many discoveries in the field of vitreoretinal diseases including myopia, macular degeneration, and intraocular inflammation. He has spearheaded development of multiple forms of retinal imaging. He has 250 peer reviewed publications, 8 books, is on the Editorial Board of multiple journals and is the Associate Editor of the Journal RETINA. He has won numerous awards including the Award of Merit from the Retina Society, the Henkind and the Richard and Linda Rosenthal Foundation awards, and the Prix Soubrane de la Recherche en Ophthalmologie.

Kyoko Ohno-Matsui is a chief of the High Myopia Clinic at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, which is by far the largest clinic specializing in Pathologic Myopia. She is also an associate professor at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. She has published more than 120 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is currently the Editor-in-chief of International Ophthalmology.

Dr. Lawrence Yannuzzi is a professor of clinical ophthalmology at Columbia University Medical School, vicechairman and director of The Retinal Research Center of the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, and founder and president of The Macula Foundation, Inc. He is a world renowned retinal specialist who has published more than 300 scientific papers and 11 textbooks, with particular interest in diseases of the macula, such as diabetic retinopathy and agerelated macular degeneration. His book The Retinal Atlas won the 2010 PROSE Award.
