Details
Nigeria and Nigerians have been and have continued to demonstrate at different time depending on the various challenges facing her, a great desire for peace and conflict resolution not just within her sovereign boundaries but had and is still stretching her hand to other countries within the African sub region to preach and pursue the worthy venture- Peace and conflict resolution. Hence, the relevance of our study on peace and conflict resolution as many bodies in the world, political socio-economic or educational institution- United Nations, African Union, European Union and ECOWAS at different time played various roles in the maintenance of peace and in resolving conflicts in different part of the world. Nigeria on her part had played and is playing a major role, if not the largest role in ensuring peace and conflicts resolution within the African region and West African Sub-region. As such, it should not come as a surprise that the African continent is in need of conflict resolution mechanisms.
