To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher used qualitative research approach and case study research design. The study uncovered peace is the most important interest of the pastoral and agro pastoral community and they described conflict as starvation, and poverty. The study also revealed that for the practices of peacebuilding and conflict transformation in the study area started a little in the form of resilience but most practices are conflict resolution, management and prevention which is only tentative solution to the problem. The mechanisms used for the purpose of peacebuilding seems a system of creating common understanding on the problem and establishing a ground for the commencement of the peacebuilding and conflict transformation activities. Activities related to resilience are the best mechanism done for the purpose of conflict mitigation.
