Penguin Football Club was formed in 1890, it is situated on the central north coast of Tasmania, in the small coastal town of Penguin. Penguin FC plays Australian-rules football in the Northern Tasmanian Football League (NTFL). It previously competed in the North West Football Union (NWFU). Facilities include a gym, home and away changing rooms, and clubhouse with a licenced bar. The home ground (Penguin Recreation Ground) is only meters from the beach. Penguin has three teams - seniors, reserves and under 19s. Their home kit is blue shorts and socks with a Royal blue and light blue jersey, hence the nickname of the Two Blues.
