PERCEPTIONS OF THE EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS OF VETERINARY GRADUATES
Details
This study examines the perceptions of veterinary science graduates and employers in Tamil Nadu regarding employability skills. It explores the importance, possession, and development of key personal qualities and skills among graduates and compares them with employer expectations and satisfaction. Findings reveal notable gaps in areas such as integrity, responsibility, negotiation, and computer literacy. Employers prioritized self-management, teamwork, and adaptability, while graduates often overestimated their preparedness. The study highlights the need for closer alignment between academic training and industry needs to enhance the job readiness of veterinary graduates.
