Perennial Themes

Essays included in this anthology deal with topics which can be of interest to engineers and scientists. Originally these essays were given in a course to the undergraduate students of engineering at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi. Prof. A. Z. Butt of the Institute was the moving force behind the compilation. The introductions to essays included have been contributed by the editors.

Arif Khattak, Associate Professor/Director Academics,Iqra University, has also taught at FAST NU and GIKI. He has to his credit 8 books and 7 research papers. He was the first ever South Asia Fellow from Pakistan at the School of Oriental and African Studies. His areas of interest include ESP and language in the politics of South Asia.
