PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT STUDY OF SIMPLE SOLAR STILL USING COTTON CLOTH AS REGENERATIVE MEDIUM

Water and energy are the two essential requirements for the social and economical developments of the country. The requirement of drinking water and energy is getting increasing year after year due to increase in human population and also increase in industrial and agricultural needs. To full fill the objectives of the present scenario, it is an essential requirement to identify an energy efficient and environment friendly approach for producing good drinking water. The solar energy is an environment-friendly and energy efficient technology, which can be used as an alternative source for conventional energy resources. This book is explains about to prepare fresh water from brackish or contaminated water.

Dr.T.G.Sakthivel has obtained B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Madras in 1998 and Master of Engineering (Thermal Engineering) from Bharathiyar University in 2002 at Karunya Institute of Technology, Coimbatore and he has obtained Ph.D in AnnaUniversity, Guindy. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience in various Engineering Colleges. During the past 20 years he has been actively engaged in teaching, research and consultancy services; published many International Journals and Conferences.
