Wireless communications is currently a highly demanded communication technology that is the most functional in terms of mobile access. In recent years, the field of wireless communication systems has shown a tremendous amount of development with respect to research and practice. These technologies require a reliable and integrated system for better performance. Cooperative Communication is one of the methods by which one can obtain a reliable communication. The idea of employing cooperation in wireless communication networks has emerged in response to the user mobility support and limited energy and radio spectrum resources, which pose challenges in the development of wireless communication networks and services in terms of capacity and performance.

La comunicación cooperativa (CC) es una tecnología en la que varios nodos transmiten simultáneamente datos similares. Sin embargo, la CC puede enlazar redes desconectadas. Para superar este problema, se introduce el control de topología eficiente en energía con el sistema CC para la selección de nodos de retransmisión óptimos y para disminuir el consumo general de energía en la red ad-hoc CC.
