Periodontal Vaccine

Vaccination is a process that induces specific immune resistance to a bacterial or viral infectious disease. Vaccines have prevented several infectious diseases for many years, and are still being investigated. Factors that have an impact on the trends of vaccine development include progress in translatory medicine, demographics, regulatory science, political, cultural, and social responses. They are generally prophylactic, i.e., they ameliorate the effects of future infection. One such vaccine considered here is the 'Periodontal Vaccine'.
