This is a comprehensive report on the preparation of modified lead titanate ceramics, characterization and study of various physical properties like structural, dielectric, ferroelectric, micro-hardness and piezoelectric. It starts with introduction and history of ceramics followed by technological applications of such materials. Two compositions viz., yttrium and praseodymium modified lead titanate which are perovskite type structured materials is synthesized by solid state reaction techniques and then their properties analyzed. The praseodymium modified lead titanate ceramics is found to be a good ferroelectric and piezoelectric material as compared to yttrium modified lead titanate. This book is an ideal choice for the researchers in material scientists especially those dealing with ceramic materials.

Research interest include crystal growth, ceramic preparation, characterization and properties of complex oxides, rare earth containing materials.
