Perspectives on Human Rights

The author has sought to present a thorough framework on some vital issues pertaining to the idea of human rights. While in case of some issues, the attempt by the author has been to present a holistic enquiry; as in the case of assessing the historical roots of human rights across different cultures and the universally relevant issue of sexual exploitation of child labour. In case of the other issues such as danger of child rights and death of state sovereignty, the research endeavour has resulted in views and findings which are alternate to the popular perception.

The author is a Masters student at National Law School of India University, Bangalore, India. In her final year, she takes great research interest in the alternative perspectives of human rights and seeks to explore the realm of human rights beyond the popular and prevailing prism.
