Klappentext

A definitive reference for addressing the volatile and toxic byproducts generated by the Petroleum Industry, Petroleum Waste Treatment and Pollution Control combines "state of the art" and traditional treatment and control methods for removing, controlling or treating problems such as groundwater contamination; aromatics; oil, grease and organic removal, and VOCs. Petroleum Waste Treatment and Pollution Control is divided into 7 chapters. The first chapter is a brief introduction to the petroleum industry. The second chapter explains wastes in the petroleum industry. The third chapter focuses on the environmental impact of the petroleum industry, regulations, and protection options. Chapters 4, 5, and 6 discuss the treatment of air emissions, treatment of oily wastewater, and treatment of solid wastes and disposal methods, respectively. Finally, chapter 7 provides remediation processes.
