With the emerging worldwide interests in adopting and studying traditional systems and exploiting their potential based on different health care systems, the evaluation of the rich heritage of traditional medicine is essential. From the innumerable plants being researched since time immemorial, Costus speciosus is an important one. The present book was aimed at pharmacognostical, preliminary phytochemical and pharmacological evaluations of the aerial parts of Costus speciosus Koen.

I am postgraduate teacher since Jan 2009 to till date with solid research credentials in the field of pharmacognosy, phytochemistry and phytopharmacology. I published more than 30 national and international research & review articles, participated in more than ten conferences and workshops and having life memberships in IPGA, ACPI etc.
