Phenylmethylidene Thiourea Copper Complex and Antibacterial Activity

This book discusses the fundamental and peculiar features of various ligands and copper(II) complexes in the introduction and deals with specifically the synthesis and characterization of thiourea derivative and its copper(II) complex using UV- Visible spectroscopy and IR spectroscopy. This also illustrates the antibacterial activity of the ligand and the metal complex against two bacteria strains Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus using agar diffusion disc method.
