Photocatalysis Studies of Nanoparticles
Details
Nanoparticles derived from schiff bases have a wide variety of applications. These particles have antitumor, catalyst, antiviral, antibacterial, stabilizing additive for anti-fouling paint and Photocatalysis studies. The importance of Photocatalysis was noted for water purification disinfection and hydrogen generation for the sustainable development of modern industry. The metal oxides are explored as the practical Photocatalysis with great expectation in the near future. This book focused the synthesis of schiff base from terephthalaldehyde and o-phenylenediamine, synthesis of metal complexes from this ligand. Synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles from these complexes. Photocatalysis studies were carried out using ZnONPs and CuONPs as precursor. From the photo catalyst study it is concluded that ZnONPs are good Photocatalysis because of their high band gap. CuONPs was unable to show any Photocatalysis activities because of their small band gap.
