Photovoltaic Modules: Outdoor Performance Measurements

To install a Photovoltaic system in a specific climate, it is necessary to have information about the behavior of Photovoltaic modules in that climate. The Photovoltaic modules have different behavior under different climates. The different behavior is due to the varying environmental factors at different climates including solar irradiance, temperature, dust and humidity etc. Therefore, before the installation of Photovoltaic module system in a specific climate, it is required to have an accurate performance data in actual operating conditions of that climate. This study is related to the performance evaluation of the commercially available Photovoltaic modules to analyze the effect of varying environmental parameters.

M. Anser Bashir is a Lecturer in the faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) Mirpur, Pakistan. For his Master's at UET Taxila, he worked on the performance of PV Modules. At present, he is a PhD scholar at University RomaTre, Italy. His main interest include analysis and optimizing energy systems.
