Physical and Mechanical Characterization of Textile Fibers

This book presents some methods of physical-mechanical characterization of textile fibers and especially the maturity and fineness of cotton fibers and the length distribution of cotton and wool fibers. The first chapter deals with the maturity of cotton fibers and presents different methods ranging from quantitative to qualitative methods with a temporal chronology. The second chapter presents the main characteristics of the fiber length distribution (cotton & wool), the measurement methods from the oldest to the most current.
