Present study enlightens the importance of Osyris quadripartia with respect to the ethnobotany, phytochemistry and biological activities. It is noticed that the plant wood is used for extraction of essential oil as well as the plant as a whole has great importance ethnobotanically. It is noteworthy that the plant is with great medicinal potential especially with respect to anti ulcer activity, antioxidant activity, anti microbial activity and anti malarial efficacy. So in the future it will be beneficial to evaluate the active bioactive principles from the plant. All the co-authors were the under graduate students of Department of Botany, The New College, Kolhapur during the academic year 2018-19. The sincere efforts of these co-authors have led this research to great success and a foundation behind this beautiful book.
