These trigger points are hyperirritable areas within tight bands of muscle that cause referred pain and dysfunction. Dry needling treatment seeks to release muscle tension, improve local circulation and reduce pain.In the upper limb, this technique is frequently used in pathologies such as rotator cuff tendinopathies, epicondylitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, among others, achieving a significant improvement in mobility and functionality.
