Nature is an inexhaustible source of organic molecules many of which possess important biological activities. Plants are considered to be a repository of a large number of these molecules. The study of plants for their secondary metabolites will continue to be an important and relevant area of research activity globally for the discovery of novel compounds that may have therapeutic and biological properties that are beneficial to man existence. I was born on 28th July, 1968 in Nigeria. I obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
