Phytochemical and Pharmacological Screenings of Mangifera indica L.

The use of plants and plant products as medicines could be traced as far back as the beginning of human civilization. Plants are the richest resource of drugs of traditional systems of medicine, modern medicines, nutraceuticals, food supplements, folk medicines, pharmaceutical intermediates and chemical entities for synthetic drugs. Medicinal plants are a source of great economic value all over the world. Nature has bestowed on us a very rich botanical wealth and a large number of diverse types of plants grow in different parts of Bangladesh. And Bangladesh is a less developing country. Most of the people living in remote area are fully dependent upon the traditional medicine practitioners for the treatment of their all types of ailments including life-threatening diseases. So, my approach involved to find out possible chemical and biological activities of the present species for its folk and further applications to human beings among the such and similar kind of humanity.

Md. Torequl Islam the sonof Md. Shahajahan Ali born in Bangladesh on October 1st,1985 (Village: Borni, Post and Police Station: Jhikargacha, DistrictJessore). After successfully completion of S.S.C., H.S.C. and B.Pharm. (Hon's), I have joined as a Lecturer of Pharmacy Departmentof Southern University Bangladesh, Chittagong. In the min-time I havecompleted my M. Pharm. (Master) degree from the same institution. Ihave a great intention to the research activities. My presentresearch area is phytochemistry and pharmacology but I have noprotest and apathy about any research fields of pharmaceuticalscience. I am searching an opportunity for higher study.
