The uses of medicinal plants in traditional medicine were widespread and they still serve as leads for the development of novel pharmacological agents. The phytochemicals and bioactive molecules are the secondary metabolic products produced by these plants in response to the environmental stresses. Several plant extracts or their constituents have proved to contain a variety of Anti-inflammatory, antiulcerogenic, antiproliferation, antioxidant and anticancer substances.
