Piercing the Corporate Veil under English Company Law

The doctrine of 'Piercing the Corporate Veil' has always been a controversial issue under English company law. However, the recent English courts' judgments regarding the corporate veil cases have aggravated the controversy even more. This book will try to demonstrate how courts' attitudes varied towards the doctrine at different periods of time. Evaluation of various cases make it obvious that there is no single regulatory framework established by the English courts for piercing of the corporate veil. The work focuses on the existing problems of veil piercing in single corporations, corporate groups and trust-involved cases and tries to answer what principle court should follow in terms of veil piercing in the absence of a single regulatory structure.
