Piping Industry in Offshore Platforms

Pipelines are essential for transporting energy utilities such as oil, natural gas and coal for the nation. Similarly, pipelines are the only medium installed at offshore region to convey oil, gas, chemicals and water. Piping known as pipe network made up of many components such as line pipes, valves, traps, strainers, joints and fittings which consist of tee, elbow, reducer, nipple and couplings, flanges and et cetera. In this book, overview on piping in offshore platforms applications was discussed.

Dr. Ervina Efzan Mhd Noor is senior lecturer at Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Multimedia University since 2010. She completed her B.Eng , MSc and PhD in Materials Engineering from the Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her research is focused primarily to intermetallic and alloys, mechanical alloying and nano-material.
