Planning in Wartime

This book details the innovative co-design approaches used in creating the Mykolaiv Concept Masterplan, a landmark effort in Ukrainian post-war reconstruction. Developed during the conflict, this initiative, led by a dedicated expert team, envisions the city's future, fostering hope and a vision for a more liveable Mykolaiv. By challenging traditional masterplan methods, this book presents short, medium, and long-term scenarios. It employs analytical and design tools across demographics, urban ecosystems, accessibility, heritage preservation, stakeholder engagement, and policy design.
