Plasma Spray Coatings
Details
In this investigation stellite powder is coated on AZ91D magnesium alloy using plasma spraying process. The corrosion behavior of substrate and plasma spray coated samples carried out using the immersion test under 3.5%NaCl environment. Scanning electron microscopy was used to analyse the base composition, morphology and corrosion products .The test results showed that plasma sprayed samples provide the better corrosion performance than the untreated samples.
