Poetchino
Details
All those who appreciate fine coffee are poets at heart. The original working title of this collection was 'Relative Triviality'. This introduces the bundle as an offering, without any claim of phenomenal importance or marked, universal relevance. It thus responds to the ancient, yet pertinently prevalent criticism of poetry as a science making an insignificant, if at all detectable, contribution to the collective body of human knowledge and the furthering and broadening of the human psyche. It is therefore merely a suggestion; an alternative lateral addition to the much-varied menu of products of the mind.I adopted the new title because of the overwhelming interest in coffee and the concomitant culture of exploring higher order thinking. I subsequently discovered that coffee houses have been a congregation point of great, new and challenging ideas for centuries. Modern culture loves coffee. Simultaneously, as a species, we seem to have an insatiable and apparently growing appetite for wanting to make sense of the madness. Having said that, coffee with inspiring minds has the power to make the trivial seem crucial, and obstacles seem perfectly surmountable.
