Poetics of identity and communication in the Rushdian universe

A senior researcher in the field of British literature and civilisation, the Master of Arts has been involved in research on the Middle East, specifically on pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial India. This study of this part of the Asian continent is known from the perspective of Partition Literature. The success of this literary and intellectual journey invites notions such as history, religion, politics, identity, culture, gender, globalisation, cosmopolitanism, geopolitics, manipulation and neo-colonialism into the debate. With this in mind, literary theories, narratology, postcolonialism, feminism, geocriticism and deconstruction are explored.
