Poetry and Translation in Northern Ireland
Details
This new study offers a critical reading of the poetry and translations of Seamus Heaney, Derek Mahon, Michael Longley, Paul Muldoon and Ciaran Carson. It demonstrates that their 'original' verse as well as their versions of other authors are, in each case, different manifestations of particular and consistently pursued poetics.
'This intelligent book succeeds admirably in illustrating the relevance of the interdisciplinary approaches for literary studies in our 'global' world.' -M. Teresa Caneda Cabrera, University of Vigo, Translation and Literature
