Poetry in TEFL

This book studies thoroughly the peculiarities of using poetry in teaching English as a foreign language, emphasizing the most important issues and aspects the teacher has to take into account in his pedagogic activity. It overviews the phenomenon of educative poetry, as well as the main strategies of teaching poetry at TEFL lessons. In addition, the book highlights the advantages of mastering methods and techniques of teaching vocabulary and grammar through various poetic forms. Poetry in TEFL has proved that the application of diverse poetic forms not only widens the pupils' acquisition of the English literature, but is also an indispensable tool of teaching all aspects of foreign language at any level.
