Policies of Economic and Social Development in Europe

This volume is dedicated to the proceedings of the 11th annual conference of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University on policies of economic and social development in Europe. The eleven articles by authors teaching at universities in six different countries (Bulgaria, Germany, France, Romania, Russia and Switzerland) have been selected by international peer reviews. The contributions are arranged in four sections with respect to their scope and regional focus. They encompass 20 graphs and 26 tables.

The Editors: George Chobanov is Associate Professor at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria) and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
Jürgen Plöhn holds a position as «Privatdozent» at the Institute for Political Science and Japanese Studies at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
Horst Schellhaass is Professor at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences and Vice Rector of the University of Cologne.
