Political communication and ethics

In this book, Gloire Kitambala demonstrates how the communication surrounding the death of Mzee Laurent Désiré Kabila transgressed the norms and rules of information, i.e. ethics. Announced on Thursday 18 January 2001 by the Minister of Communication, the Head of State Désiré Kabila had died two hours after being taken to the Ngaliema clinic. After a night of uncertainty, in order to avoid riots and save lives, Colonel Eddy Kapend said that the President had ordered a curfew and the closing of the borders. A purely false information, violating the ethics of information but salutary.
