POLITICAL SOCIOLOGY
Details
Political sociology, long dominated by historical and legal approaches, is now seeking to assert itself as an autonomous discipline. This book explores the deep roots of political sociology, revealing its evolution through the work of such great thinkers as Max Weber, Émile Durkheim, Pierre Bourdieu and Michel Foucault. These authors have shown that politics cannot be reduced to institutional structures or legal rules, but is a social phenomenon rooted in complex human relationships and dominant ideologies. Through a critical analysis of classical approaches, the book invites us to rethink politics as a living social activity, shaped by invisible practices, logics and power relations. It argues for a political sociology that is more firmly rooted in the study of the social relations and cultural dynamics that influence contemporary politics. The author invites the reader to go beyond the narrow confines of political institutions to grasp politics in its most social and human dimension.
