Population Projections and Pension System Sustainability

An innovative approach on population projections and pension system sustainability borrowed from Physics. The authors apply spectrum analysis and multiscale PCA to European and Asian populations with original results: compare to the Bayesian probabilistic model sponsored by the United Nations Population Division, Asian projections are less optimistic, European projections provide a better perspective. This book should provide better insight and understanding of population dynamics to government policymakers as well as economic, health and pension planners.
