Port Logistics & Management

Berth Output, Service, Utilization and Productivity, Port Dues and Rates for Ships and Cargo including Harbour dues, Wharf finger rates, Life dues, Pilotage dues, MARPOL rules as well as different types of Port Ownership Structures in modern ports, Lean logistics, Break bulk shipping, clean transportation, and quantitative analytics. An appraisal of the performance of the break bulk shipping operations as it affects the multi-modal transport network, using the approach of the lean logistics management was done in this work. This work surveyed greenhouse and noxious gas emissions control policy measures adopted by port authorities and port air pollution environmental control agencies in reducing and controlling gas emissions from trucks, rail wagons and ships operating in the port environment. Regulation for the prevention of Air pollution from ships i.e. MARPOL Annex VI". Controls for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) as well as those for oxides of sulphur (SOx) are covered.
