Portrayal of Women Characters in Modern Yoruba Novels

Contemporary Yoruba novelists and critics did tremendous works in portraying female characters in their literary production. This work with the employed of the Feminist approach showcased the characters of women in the past and present Yoruba society. The effect of capitalism on women in the society and portrayal of polygamous home; what led to it and the basis daily crisis among these wives are one of the major highlights of the discuss in the book.
