Portuguese as an Additional Language

An overview of how Brazilian teachers have been teaching Portuguese as an additional language, given the difficulties in finding good and accessible teaching materials, as well as academic training itself, which in Brazil is poorly incentivised. This work had the help of teachers working in the field and its main objective is to encourage even more teachers to invest in and research PLA teaching.

Graduated in Languages from UFLA, she has participated in research projects related to the teaching and learning of additional languages and teaching, working in public schools. She has always been interested in the field of PLA, studied translation techniques at PUC-SP and currently works teaching English, seeking knowledge and insertion in the field of PLA teaching.
