Restorative dentistry and endodontics have reached a point where they enjoy a symbiotic relationship. The restorative dentist needs to use endodontic treatment to retain teeth with pulpal or periapical damage. After endodontic therapy very specific restorative measures must be instituted to preserve and protect the treated tooth. Hence post endodontic management plays a very pivotol role in the success of root canal treatment. In this book, various aspects of post endodontic management in the scenario of minimal remaining tooth structure have been focussed. Post and core is one such modality of treatment that is commonly adopted by dental professionals in case of minimal tooth structure remaining in order to increase the strength of tooth and to prevent from fracture and failure. Concepts of post design and placement, merits and demerits and also future trends of post and core management have been discussed as various chapters.
